As the Natural Resources/Constructed Wetlands Field Assistant, you will assist in the management of Natural Resources within the Orange City Council Local Government Area.

 Key responsibilities include:

• Implementation and undertaking various environmental activities and works including vegetation control, track installation and maintenance, fencing, erosion control, revegetation, stock maintenance and tree maintenance.
• Assisting in the maintenance and improvement of Natural Resources within the local area
• Liaising and interacting with community groups, council groups and relevant industry stakeholders

About you:

• Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management or equivalent
• Significant experience in conservation and land management practices including weed control, erosion mitigation and revegetation.
• Current Drivers Licence
• NSW General Construction Induction card

The following additional qualifications/licences are highly regarded:

• First Aid Certificate
• Current Chemical User Certificate
• Chainsaw Operation Level 2 Certificate
• Current Medium Rigid (MR) Drivers Licence
• Demonstrated competency in the operation of load shifting plant (backhoe, front end loader and skid steer)
