As the Natural Resources/Constructed Wetlands Field Assistant, you will assist in the management of Natural Resources within the Orange City Council Local Government Area.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementation and undertaking various environmental activities and works including vegetation control, track installation and maintenance, fencing, erosion control, revegetation, stock maintenance and tree maintenance.
- Assisting in the maintenance and improvement of Natural Resources within the local area
- Liaising and interacting with community groups, council groups and relevant industry stakeholders
About you:
- Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management or equivalent
- Significant experience in conservation and land management practices including weed control, erosion mitigation and revegetation.
- Current Drivers Licence
- NSW General Construction Induction card
The following additional qualifications/licences are highly regarded:
- First Aid Certificate
- Current Chemical User Certificate
- Chainsaw Operation Level 2 Certificate
- Current Medium Rigid (MR) Drivers Licence
- Demonstrated competency in the operation of load shifting plant (backhoe, front end loader and skid steer)
