NDIS DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKER
- Whitehorse, Stonnington and Boroondara areas
- Part time/ Full time/ Casual shifts available

To facilitate and support people living with a disability in achieving individual goals and personal development strengthening their existing skills, abilities, and confidence by accessing services operated by mecwacare
Essential:
- Sound and proven experience working with people with disabilities from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience working with people with behaviors of concern and developing strategies to gain best outcomes for all.
- An ability to write plans for programs and activities and work within budgets.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for networking with clients, families and the community sector.
- An understanding or desire to learn the principles of person-centered planning and experience in transforming plans into actions.
- Understanding of Disability Act 2006 and Quality Framework for Disability Services.
- Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent
- Current First Aid level 2 and CPR
- Full Victorian Driver License
- NDIS screening check clearance
- A strong understanding of NDIS Code of Conduct and Best Practice Standards.
- Ability to manage and maintain daily observations and daily documentation
- An understanding or a desire to learn the principles of person-centered planning and experience in transforming plans into actions.
