An exciting opportunity for a Nephrology Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Consultant has become available within our dynamic Nephrology Surgical team.
The Nephrology Department is one of Australia's largest and oldest renal services, delivering care to patients throughout metropolitan Melbourne, regional Victoria, southern NSW and Tasmania. The RMH Kidney Care Service delivers a continuum of care for people with acute and chronic kidney disease including transplantation, dialysis, conservative and end of life care.
Your new role:
- Part-time role, 24hrs / fortnight based at RMH City Campus
- Provide high standard of patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of surgical care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Negotiate, coordinate and manage the transition of care of Nephrology surgical patients across their continuum of care.
- Support junior staff, graduates and students with appropriate supervision, training and instruction within the renal service.
About you:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
- Masters of Nurse Practitioner qualification, OR a Masters assessed as equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 5 years working within a nephrology setting
Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary health care team
