The Role
Be part of a small & diverse team of developers. Assist with the further expansion and improvement of a newly developed complex web application in the industrial IoT space.
This role has many exciting challenges. Not only are we developing an ever-expanding list of new features in the industrial software space, but we're also working on the transformation of existing rich desktop applications into Azure backed web applications as well as API development for internal and external applications.
You'll join a flexible team with a flat hierarchy. The role is open to applicants looking for a balance of remote work and office-based work from our offices in Canningvale, WA or Riverview, QLD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Focus areas of this role will be backend development tasks, API development and Microsoft SQL Stored Procedures
- You will be responsible for working across the full software development cycle from design, development and support
- Interactions with your product owners and the applications team will be part of your daily life, understanding the needs and requirements of users and tailoring systems to these specifications will be a key part of your role.

The skills we're looking for:
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in commercial projects developing web applications in C#, ASP.NET, MVC & .NET Core, at least .Net 6.
- Experience in Azure SQL, MSSQL, EFCore/ Dapper Framework.
- Proven experience building Web APIs for both internal and external clients.
- Experience in DevOps, including Build and Release pipelines.
- Experience in Azure Infrastructure and practical knowledge of IaC, Containers, Identities, Key Vault, RBAC
- Have tried and used structured logging and monitoring
- Knowledge of SOLID principles and its usage and implementation.
- Experience with and closely follow OWASP-10.
The extras to stand out:
- Practical knowledge in other Azure services such as Azure API Management, Azure B2C, Azure Front Door.
- Experience working with IoT infrastructure and applications.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong communication and people skills
- Strong computer and systems skills and knowledge
