Job description

Cleared ICT are supporting a government department who are looking to engage any .NET Lead Developers holding a NV1 clearance or above.

Start Date: Jan 2024 - 12 months with 2 x 12 month extension
NV1 Minimum

The successful candidates must be able to satisfy the following role specific requirements:

  • Over 10 years of .Net development experience working on large scale full stack projects including (UI, Integration, Backend services and database design).
  • Back end skills: o Mandatory - .NET framework, .NET core and C#.
    o Desirable - AzureDev Ops CI-CD and SQL Server.
  • Web service skills:
    o Mandatory - C#, REST APIs.
    o Desirable - WCF and SOAP legacy services Integration.
  • Front end skills: o Desirable - Vue.js, TypeScript and React.
  • Security: o Strong experience in software development factoring in security at the centre of the design and knowledge of ISM.
    o Extensive experience in software development implementing role based access, auditing and integration with AD, ADFS, LDAP, Certificate and authentication.
  • Performance:
    o Strong knowledge of scalable web services using IIS, load balancers and web farms. o Strong knowledge of efficient query design.
  • Soft skills:
    o Excellent communication skills, with a can do attitude with eagerness to learn new skills, mentor junior team members and promote good development/engineering practices.
    o Ability to assign and manage development tasks amongst a team of developers. o Collaborate with Stakeholders and Technical staff on all aspects of allocated projects, and attend and lead relevant meetings when required, especially with consideration of the following:
    ? Perform problem solving and troubleshooting on complex business and technical issues. ? Provide accurate timing estimates for project related works requiring ICT system development and integration.
    ? Liaising with testing teams about testing strategies and processes.
    ? Liaising with architects to ensure end to end design is comprehensive, feasible and of good quality.
    ? Liaising with security specialists to ensure vulnerabilities are identified and have appropriate treatments applied.
    o Capability to create detailed design documentation and templates for use by the team.
    o Provide mentoring to junior staff as required.

    Flexible working arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis i.e. (3 days in office + 2 days from home)
