About the Role
As part of our dedication to reducing carbon emissions and transitioning towards a net-zero future, we are seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our team as a Net Zero Officer.
Your commencing annual salary will range from $81,06 to $90,951+ superannuation, dependent on your experience and qualifications.
About You
As our Net Zero Officer, you will play a pivotal role in driving our organisation's efforts to achieve Net Zero targets for both Council operations and community. Collaborating closely with various stakeholders, and external partners, you will develop and implement strategies, programs, initiatives, and policies aimed at reducing our carbon emissions and achieving our net-zero goals.
Key Requirements
- Design and deliver corporate and community programs to minimise emissions and risk to Council and Community.
- Ability to research and communicate complex ideas for a variety of audiences and stakeholders, with different levels of understanding, through both written and verbal means.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain Net Zero sustainable outcomes for the City
- Ability to prepare reports, submissions, and briefing papers on a wide variety of technical topics.
- Research and analytical skills, to develop/update or review policy and procedure documents.
- Well-developed verbal and interpersonal communication skills to consult at all levels within the organisation, and with key external stakeholders.
- Current NSW Class C drivers' licence
