- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and partners to support and optimise network solutions.
- Evaluate and assisting with the implementation of VXLan to replace OTV between our datacentres.
- Perform network configurations, including routing, switching, Juniper Switch and Wireless rollout and firewall configuration.
- Cisco Firewall FTD and Anyconnect upgrades.
- SD-WAN rollout/support (Velocloud).
- Implement network security measures and ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
- Monitor network health and performance to proactively identify and resolve issues
- New site deployments (some travel may be required to Northern QLD).
- Minimum of 3 + years of experience in Network Engineering role.
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology (or equivalent).
- Industry certificates such at CCNP/ CCNA.
- Full working rights in Australia (Citizenship or permanent residency preferred).
- Experience working with network and security firewalls from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper Networks, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Aruba.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), and network security principles
- Experience with network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, wireless and load balancers.
- Familiarity with network virtualization technologies (e.g., VLAN, VXLAN)
- Experience working with Cisco ISE, Nexus and UCS is highly desirable.
