Ramsay Health Care has a fantastic full-time opportunity for a Network Engineer to join our team in Brisbane to provide technical leadership for the operational support of our network and telecommunications environment.

Joining our dynamic team, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain configure and support existing WiFi/LAN/WAN & Cloud Network environment.
- Take initiative and propose recommendations about improvements to Ramsay's networking infrastructure to meet changing business needs
- Mentor and support junior staff and act as the last point of escalation within your field
- Provide 2nd level support and troubleshooting of network, systems and application issues.
- Perform efficient administration of network equipment at Data Centre and hospital sites, including WiFi infrastructure, and 3rd party connections.
- Assist in the testing and implementation of Disaster Recovery procedures.
- Ensure all networking infrastructure is appropriate for the business requirements in terms of fit for purpose, capacity planning and licensing obligations
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional communication and collaboration skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across varying levels. You will hold strong problem analysis and resolution skills and are able to work efficiently within a high performing team.
Your Skills and Experience
- Industry qualifications in networking such as CCNP or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years working in the networking field
- High level working knowledge of communications equipment and concepts
- Proven experience in monitoring, managing, and maintaining LAN / WAN, Wi-Fi and VPN networks
- Experience in Palo Alto Firewall technologies
- Experience in implementing and supporting wireless solutions
- Experience with HP Aruba range of switches is advantageous
- Strong understanding of security principles and operations of proxy and firewalls
Ideally, though not essential you will also demonstrate the following:
- Solid experience in configuring and supporting Cisco Routers and firewalls
- Experience in SDN technologies
- Previous experience working in a health care environment
- Experience in supporting virtual environments
- Graduate qualifications in computing
