Network Firewall Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Firewall Engineer to join our client's team on a 6-month daily rate contract, to start at the end of March. This individual will play a crucial role in enhancing the capabilities of our client's network security team by bringing expertise in a range of networking and security technologies.
  
Mandatory Experience and Skills:
  

• Switch and Router Configuration and Management: Proven experience in configuring and managing switches and routers.
• SDWAN Configuration and Management: Demonstrated expertise in configuring and managing SDWAN solutions.
• VPN Design and Management: In-depth knowledge of VPN design principles and hands-on experience in managing VPNs.
• Experience in Troubleshooting Faults: Track record of effectively identifying and resolving network-related issues.
• Managing Support Tickets with Various Vendors: Ability to efficiently collaborate with vendors to address and resolve support tickets.

  
Desirable Experience and Skills:

• Firewall Management: Proficiency in configuring and managing firewall solutions.
• Cisco Wireless Management: Hands-on experience in managing Cisco wireless infrastructure.
• Azure Networking: Familiarity with networking principles in Microsoft Azure environments.
• Experience in Remote Site Connection (preferably using NBN): Knowledge of establishing and maintaining remote site connections, preferably using NBN.
• Patching and Cable Tracing: Ability to perform patching activities and trace network cables effectively.
• DHCP Management: Experience in managing Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) services.
• Use of Hyper-V: Proficient in using Hyper-V for virtualization purposes.
• Management and Configuration of ISE: Knowledge and hands-on experience in the management and configuration of Identity Services Engine (ISE).
