Primary Responsibilities:
The System-of-Systems (SoS) Network Integration Engineer tasks include:
- Develop, validate and maintain the SoS Architecture Description (SoSAD) document, a Program level engineering artefact which will support allp rojects through the consolidated definition of physical architectures (including physical network layers/topologies) and external interfaces provided as a suite of context diagrams/architectural viewpoints.
- Apply established engineering principles, techniques and methods to solve problems relating to Network Integration management to ensure all options are adequately considered, analysed and translated into relevant system (project level) and system-of-systems (program level) requirements and constraints;
- Under the SoS Integration Lead’s supervision, provide advice, guidance and support projects to ensure that system-of-systems Network Integration activities and dependencies are appropriately considered in relevant project deliverables including Strategic Partner deliverables;
- Participate in applicable working groups, technical reviews and workshops as directed by the SoS Integration Lead;
- Be proactive in identifying, exploring and managing risks, issues and opportunities related to system-of-systems integration to ensure an effective and efficient delivery of the Program of Projects;
- SoS Architecture Description (SoSAD) v1.0
- Relevant supporting Function and Interface Requirements Description (FIRD) artefacts
- Provide weekly status updates on SoSAD development and supporting FIRDs to SoS Engineering Manager, SoS Integration Lead and JABMS Integration Lead
- Track and report to SoS Integration Lead

The SoS Network Integration Engineer shall satisfy the following experience and criteria:
- Be a qualified practitioner with relevant tertiary qualifications (Bachelors and above).
- Able to obtain NV2 security clearance
- Have experience with communications network engineering applied to Defence systems.
- Superior communication and stakeholder management skills
- Able to use DSN on a regular/daily basis
- Have more than 5 years of relevant industry/CoA experience, including having held system integration roles in Defence projects.
- Experience with system integration design and delivery preferably but not necessarily in an Integrated Air and Missile Defence environment.
- Experience with using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools preferably in large and complex systems/system-of-systems development and delivery environments would be highly regarded.
