As a Security Operations Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the protection of our assets, maintaining compliance, and driving the overall security of our cloud infrastructure.
What You'll Do:
- Working within the operations team to manage, maintain, and enhance network infrastructure supporting crucial cloud regions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and troubleshoot advanced network solutions in highly classified environments of national significance.
- Leverage your expertise to optimise network performance, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability in the face of ever-evolving cyber threats.
- Share your knowledge and experience, mentoring junior team members and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

To qualify for this role, you must have expertise and experience in:
- NV2 Clearance (Australian Citizenship)
- Strong understanding of networking services, protocols, and OSI model
- Expertise in all layers of networking protocol
- Proficiency in building and utilizing virtual environments, including automation via CLI
- Experience in networking products like Fortinet, Cisco, Cumulus and Openstack Neutron
- Experience supporting Linux environment including bash and or python
- Proven strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Flexibility and availability to participate in a 24/7 roster
- Experience with working in Operational Environment
