Cannington Community Education Support Centre (CCESC) is seeking a knowledgeable and hard working Network Support Officer to join their friendly team.The Network Support Officer is responsible for providing front-line support to staff and students; ideally using their excellent knowledge of the computer network, programs, and platforms to manage the day-to-day operations of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) devices. They will provide support, advice, and issue resolution. The successful applicant will analyse network and system performance; proposing innovative solutions to maximise both educational and administrative outcomes. The successful applicant should be able liaise with ICT technicians from our partner schools as well as Department Of Education (DOE) and other service providers.CCESC invests heavily in a wide range of hardware to support student learning, including iPads, desktop computers, interactive whiteboards, printers, and photocopiers. Experience with the management of these devices – including the use of SSS, JAMF Schools, Tier 3 server management would be considered as advantageous. Furthermore, the Network Support Officer is responsible for developing user training programs aimed at increasing staff capacity. This includes preparing and distributing procedures and protocols pertaining to the resolution of specified issues.CCESC caters for over 100 secondary aged students from Years 7-12. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):
- Knowledge of network systems and platforms relevant to the operating environment.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills relevant to the operational maintenance of Information Technology networks.
- Organisational skills, including the ability to plan and implement data security procedures.
- Verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external clients.
- Practical experience in developing and implementing user-training procedures.

- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter;
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement;
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
