About the Role
As the Network Solution Architect, you'll be the driving force behind aligning the University's business and IT strategy. Dive into crafting and communicating cutting-edge network architecture solutions that resonate with IT strategy and Enterprise Architecture. Take charge of project deployment, collaborate closely with tech teams, and contribute to evolving IT strategy. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Contribute to network architecture, design, and roadmaps, ensuring reliability and manageability
  • Provide leadership in network architecture throughout project lifecycles, making sound technical decisions
  • Understand client requirements, deliver analysis, and recommend solutions, collaborating with stakeholders
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of network architecture, technologies, and emerging trends, ensuring effective implementation and continuous improvement
Who we are looking for
You will have a demonstrated ability in leadership and management of change resources, connecting initiative outcomes to university strategy, and a strong understanding of Change Management and Project Management methodologies. With extensive experience in assessing Change Readiness, building productive relationships, and exceptional problem-solving skills, they contribute proactively and independently to achieving domain and university goals.
You will also have:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in information systems, computer science or engineering to at least Bachelor level OR an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training such as relevant industry certifications (eg: CCIE, CCNP). Post-tertiary professional qualifications in architecture eg: TOGAF will be highly regarded
  • Highly developed knowledge and skills in Network Solution Architecture and the architecture process

Enterprise Technology is responsible for all aspects of Enterprise & IT foundational technology including both change (project) and run (operational) aspects.
The Enterprise Services domain team, within Enterprise Technology, plans and delivers a diverse range of projects including IT enablement for new buildings on campus and other facilities / smart campus projects; IT infrastructure projects; integration / identity management / Cybersecurity projects; and application / digital projects in the Enterprise Services Domain (finance, HR, procurement, service management, space management and other back-office Enterprise capabilities).
