What you’ll deliver with us
As our Network Solutions Architect you’ll develop network architecture deliverables required by programs and projects, including Solution Architecture documents, as part of the enterprise and line-of-business blueprinting and road-mapping activities. You will be responsible for ensuring that the architecture deliverables align with the technology strategy and roadmaps, whilst addressing both business and customer requirements as well.
Reporting directly into our Principal Architect you will represent the project needs into all group architecture functions, meetings, and governance. Your role will be to provide expert architecture guidance and governance back into the project.
You’ll also
- Deliver high level solution design and complex architectures for major projects
- Develop potential solutions for business problems using existing systems, new applications or custom developed capabilities as appropriate.
- Provide technical leadership to delivery teams to ensure solutions delivered reflect the relevant architectural principles, directions, standards, and designs.
- Understand the architectural decisions that need to be made, risks and issues, and articulates these clearly during governance boards.
- Contribute to the team as an architect by developing and maintaining architecture roadmaps as well as providing advice in key business initiatives
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design a clear set of supporting future state architecture views which leverage enterprise capabilities.
About you
You are a strong communicator who is able to provide guidance to the Networking Engineering team and to the Architecture organisation. You are comfortable going to present to the advisory board as well as translating high level technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Having a collaborative mindset is vital as you will work with broader technology team resources including Project Management, Business Analysts, Testers, Heads of Business and Engagements lines of business.
You’ll also need
- Proven experience working with Datacentre network and firewall technology.
- Expert network knowledge with experience in project design and implementation.
- Proven background working with SASE components, SD-WAN, SWG, FWaaS and ZTNA.
- Experience within an IT transformation project or large IT modernisation programme.
- Ability to step in and produce work product, with ability to apply hands-on knowledge as required.
- Understanding of modern, contemporary network technology stacks, Datacentre, Firewall, Cisco.
- Motivated self-starter with expert understanding of evolving industry trends and key vendors
- Knowledge and experience with public cloud networking across AWS, Azure and GCP is advantageous
