AddressInformatech are a Canberra based ICT consultancy with over 200 staff, specialising in Testing, Infrastructure, Project Delivery and Security. We are looking for a Defence Network Specialist to assist in a major long term above the line project. Ideally we are seeking a permanent employee however can also consider this position as a contract opportunity.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Produce high-level network designs that detail requirements for terrestrial network communication links at nominated Defence Base sites.
- Provide advice relating to the application of the network designs to the deployed environment.
- Participate in associated gate reviews and design approvals.
- Lead/facilitate stakeholder meetings to develop and translate ICT facility requirements into network designs and detailed specifications.
- Contribute to development and implementation of ICT infrastructure designs.
- Validate existing design artefacts to ensure network designs have sufficient facility allowances to support requirements for a Voice, DUN, DRN, DSN, WLAN and VTC solutions.
- Support development of Network Integration Architecture.
Skills and Experience
- Experience implementing solutions for the Unclassified, Protected and Secret domains.
- Demonstrable working knowledge of the Defence CAN/LAN connection to the WAN.
- Demonstrable working knowledge of the Defence SATCOM environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Next Generation and Software Defined Networking principles and design.
