Role Overview: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Technical Lead to lead our team of Network & Security Engineers. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive technical expertise in networking and security, and excellent communication skills. This role requires accountability, problem ownership, and the ability to drive successful service delivery outcomes. The Network Technical Lead will be responsible for guiding the team, overseeing network design and administration, and ensuring the security and performance of our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Network & Security Engineers.
  • Oversee the design, build, and administration of complex network infrastructures.
  • Ensure robust network security and efficient system performance.
  • Develop and implement network and security best practices.
  • Proactively monitor and manage IT infrastructure in private clouds and datacentres.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and server issues.
  • Collaborate with other Technical Leads and stakeholders to align network strategies with business goals.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for system configurations and processes.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.

Essential Technical Skills:

Networking:

  • Extensive experience in network design, build, and administration.
  • Cisco Networking (CCNA / CCIE) certification or equivalent Fortinet certification (NSE 4 / NSE 8).
  • Proficient with HP Switches (5100 / 5400 / 5500 / 1900 / 2500).
  • Proficient with Cisco Switches (3750 / 9300 / 9500 / Nexus) and ASA firewalls (5500 series).
  • Experience with Fortigate firewalls (FortiOS 6.0 / 6.2 / 7.0 / 7.2), including:
    • Connecting and configuring multi-vdom firewalls.
    • Forti Security Fabric and SD-WAN with meshed VPNs.
  • Proficiency with FortiAnalyzer and FortiSIEM.
  • Experience with HPE IMC and Cisco DNA.
  • Required experience in Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, and HPE Aruba for enterprise network design, implementation, and deployment.

Server Administration:

  • Expertise in Active Directory, including multi-site replication and multi-domain setups.
  • Proficient in Office 365 Hybrid setups for AD, file and print services, and security.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 auditing and certificate services.
  • Proficient with HYPER-V (2016 / 2019 / 2022) for VM provisioning, virtual network troubleshooting, and disk performance.
  • Knowledge of MS Clustering (2016 / 2019 / 2022).
  • Experience with MS Exchange (2016 / 2019 / O365) for administration and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in MS SQL system administration.
  • Skilled in MS Windows Remote Desktop Services (2012 / 2012 R2 / 2016) for setup, virtual applications, and performance optimization.
  • Experience in patch management and assessment.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Analytical thinking with a strong aptitude for problem-solving and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload based on varying priorities.

Team Management:

  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and solutions.
  • Assign tasks and projects to team members based on their skills and expertise.
  • Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Develop career growth plans and training programs for team members.
