About the role

Permanent part time opportunity to provide expert Child Health clinical knowledge and care for woman, children and families receiving care with the Ngarrama Midwifery Group Practice through role modelling and application of the principles of contemporary evidence-based family centred care, education, leadership and portfolio management.

This role will work collaboratively with the Ngarrama team of midwives and members of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Hubs teams. In addition, this role will

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
• Apply change management principles by providing culturally sensitive support, guidance, mentoring, preceptorship, role modelling and promotion of cooperation and collaborative teamwork.
• Respond appropriately to and provide support and direction to manage sudden alterations in the health status of the family using advanced nursing assessment and intervention skills.
• Support an evidence-based learning environment and participate in learning activities/opportunities for self and others.
