About the role:
We are currently seeking a passionate and driven Technical Manager to join our NSW team. You will perform site inspections, compile site inspection reports and provide technical advice and training on our waterproofing and tiling systems to builders and contractors.
Along with supporting the branch and sales teams with technical advice to facilitate sales, your key responsibilities will include, but are definitely not limited to:
- Having an exceptional knowledge and be able to demonstrate new and existing products to a range of customers.
- Provide excellent support over the phone as well as conduct site inspections to troubleshoot, provide advice and be a solution provider
- Ensure a high level of customer service is maintained including resolving all customer complaints to successful resolution
- Maintain sound industry knowledge & network including attending industry events and upskilling opportunities
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders and customers in the market
- Work with your supportive Branch and Sales team to ensure we are meeting the needs of our customers
- Provide leads to the Sales team on upcoming projects or opportunities in the market
- Provide onsite training to the Sales and Branch teams of current systems and products to ensure accuracy of information
- Assist in setting up and running scheduled training sessions for contractors in various products and systems
About you – Skills and Experience:
To be successful in this role you will be persistent, ambitious and have a strong drive for success as well as willing and able to commit to frequent interstate travel. You will also possess:
- Knowledge of the construction industry is essential
- Experience in all aspects of the residential and commercial building markets
- Familiarity with construction contract documents, specifications and working drawings required
- Demonstrated self-motivation and strong organisation skills
- Demonstrated strategic thinking skills
- A positive attitude with a desire to work with like minded people
- You meet challenges with solution based opportunities
- You can manage your own day and are comfortable working towards key targets
- Comfortable in liaising with all levels of decision makers
- A genuine can-do team player, reliable and energetic, with an ability to work autonomously
- Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship building skills
