About the Role
The new role of Nurse Practitioner Candidacy represents an exciting opportunity for an advancing clinicians to take the next step in their career. The NP candidate will be supported via a mentorship with Medical and Nurse Practitioners.
Once qualified and endorsed the NP has an advanced scope of practice, providing care at a clinically advanced level, whilst meeting and complying with the Nurse practitioner Standards for Practice (2021) and the National Law. The NP will have the authority to diagnose and treat patients who present to our Urgent Care Centre (UCC).
About You
The successful applicant will possess the following:
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- A minimum of 2 years full time equivalent experience as an RN in the specified clinical field, area of advanced practice
- CV providing detail of previous experience (including employment fraction in each role/position to show evidence of meeting the required FTE)
- A postgraduate clinical qualification at Australian Qualifications Framework Level 8
- Understanding of and adherence to the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia Codes of Ethics & Professional conduct
- Demonstrated experience and Scope of Practice in acute clinical settings – Urgent /Emergency Care
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Full Australian working rights
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Current & satisfactory National Police Records Check
- Current NDIS Workers Screening Check
