Our Journey
The Children’s Cancer Centre (CCC) at Monash Children’s Hospital (MCH) cares for approximately 30% of Victoria’s childhood cancer patients. The CCC-MCH is also the primary treating team at Monash Health for children who are in and outpatients with haematological conditions. The CCC has an ambulatory care unit that is capable of providing complex cancer care across the disease continuum.
A Day in the Life
If appointed in this position, you would work closely with the Children’s Cancer Centre multidisciplinary team. Your key responsibilities would focus on managing patient cohorts and their families including:
Physical and psychosocial assessment and triage
Management, treatment and referral where applicable of diagnostic imaging
Pathology ordering, blood review and blood product ordering (Pending organisational approval)
Chemotherapy prescribing in line with agreed patient protocols
Ability to collaborate with medical and nursing teams as appropriate about research, leadership, service development and education
About You:
Have a strong passion for Paediatric Oncology
Want to be a part of a dynamic, fast paced, friendly team
Work at an advanced practice level and can manage a rage of paediatric oncology conditions
What you need:
Paediatric oncology experience in the acute care setting
Registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA
Master of Nurse Practitioner qualification
