Nurse Practitioner - Haematology

An exciting opportunity exists for the Nurse Practitioner - Haematology to be an integral member of the multidisciplinary health care team who practices autonomously but in collaboration with others to assess and manage patients within their clinical context using expert nursing knowledge and skills at an advanced level based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia - Registered Nurse Standards of Practice.
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is the most senior and expert clinical nurse within the Haematology team of the Hospital and Health Service who is accountable for clinical practice, professional advice given and delegations of care and contributes expert nursing assessment and advice to achieve integrated nursing care within a risk management and best practice framework whilst critically appraising and integrating relevant research findings into decision making about healthcare management, patient/client interventions and education of other nurses and professionals.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being understood to ensure high quality, safe services, and workplaces.
* Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses, and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) - State 2015 - Generic Level Statements Nurse Grade 8 and the Queensland Public Service values.
* Understand your broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.
* Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
Remuneration value up to $172,618 p.a., comprising salary between $144,913 - $151,292 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (NRG8).
