Address The Minor Illness and Injury Clinic (MIIC) based at Caloundra Health Service (CHS) is a valuable and highly utilised primary health clinic, offering acute care options to low acuity illness and injury type presentations. The model within MIIC enables the community to gain immediate access to care and ongoing collaborative health management by ensuring the patients journey is managed in the appropriate setting at the appropriate time. To provide the high level and expert care that MIIC is committed to, we aim to:
Provide quality urgent, same day healthcare services for minor injuries and illnesses for the community.
Provide person-centred, efficient patient care underpinned by evidence-based practices.
Support local primary care services to meet the demands of the community.
Work in conjunction with SCHHS Emergency Departments to ensure the community receives appropriate care in the appropriate service facility.
