AddressMetro South Public Health Unit are looking for Nurse Unit Manager to join their team. The Nurse Unit Manager role is accountable for leading and coordinating the Metro South Public Health Unit to achieve best practice standards for clinical practice and patient-centred care. The primary responsibility of this role will be to oversee effective resource management, provide direct and indirect care as required, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, quality healthcare, with a focus on Communicable Disease and other public health issues.

About the Role
- Accountable for Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and own standards, actions and the outcomes of own nursing practice, professional/clinical advice given and for all delegated activities.
- Integrate key objectives from the Metro South/Divisional strategic plans and clinical service profiles into service delivery for the Metro South Public Health Unit.
- Responsible in the development and sustainability of a culture of learning resulting in a capable and educated nursing/midwifery workforce.
- Utilise advanced, effective communication and negotiation skills and influences the culture towards a common vision, direction and ethical framework.
