The Role
The Day Oncology and Infusion Centre is an integral part of the nursing team within the hospital. Reporting to Director of Nursing, you will be instrumental in organisational development, providing clinical leadership and actively contributing to service policy, procedure, and development. This NUM role will serve as a role model for high standards of care, supporting an environment where nursing excellence can flourish. You will demonstrate exceptional communication skills, highly organised, and uphold values of honesty, integrity, and professionalism. A key part of your role will foster professional development of nurses and focus on improving health outcomes.
The ideal candidate has a significant level of experience in Oncology Nursing and eager to engage in a fast-paced service. Excellent communication skills, a problem-solving attitude, and passion for patient care are essential and key attributes to this role.

How to Apply

- At least 5 years of recent experience in an Oncology setting, and relevant experience in coordinating a service
- An understanding of Key Performance Indicators
- Strong management skills with the ability to take the initiative in resolving issues and problems
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, ensuring that multiple people with different agendas work efficiently towards the same end goal
- Commitment to and working knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement
- Knowledge of contemporary nursing and healthcare trends, issues, and directions
- Evidence of professional development commensurate with the level of autonomy and authority expected of the position
