What you'll be doing:
This imperative role as a Nurse Unit Manager will see you provide safe, compassionate, person-centred health care in collaboration with patients, families, carers and multidisciplinary teams.
Your role in collaboration with the NUM2, is in-charge of all aspects of the unit/ward environment and takes responsibility for the standard of patient care in the unit and is pivotal to the coordination of patient/client care, unit management and leadership to enable the delivery of safe, effective, quality nursing care and efficient use of resources.
This is a wonderful permanent full time opportunity to join the NBMLHD Child & Family Health team team located at Springwood.

Selection criteria to be addressed:
Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) AND extensive relevant post registration nursing experience.
Demonstrated high level of written and verbal communication skills and ability to liaise and negotiate with clinicians, managers, staff, and other key stakeholders and manage conflict.
Proven ability to create and maintain a positive workplace culture and articulate and achieve a vision for nursing services in the contemporary health care environment.
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, coach, mentor, encourage and guide others to enable them to reach their full potential.
Demonstrated ability to ensure the human and physical resources of the unit/ward are managed to deliver safe and efficient health care within available resources.
Evidence of and commitment to patient/client/customer focused care, clinical governance, and quality improvement.
Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.
Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel and the ability to travel within the LHD in accordance with the position.
