This is an opportunity to join an organisation experiencing an exciting growth and development phase. The City of Whittlesea is one of Melbourne's fastest growing and culturally diverse municipalities just 20kms north of the CBD.
As a Nurse Vaccinator you will be a part of a specialised immunisation team dedicated to improving access for all communities to the National Immunisation Program within the City of Whittlesea. This position is a Casual role working across all offered programs which include Infants sessions, Schools, workplace vaccination as well as outreach to our most vulnerable clients.
Key Skills
This position requires a registered Division 1 Nurse with Victorian accreditation as a nurse immuniser.
We are looking for a Nurse Immuniser with a passion for providing a high standard of immunisation services to the community and who aligns with Council’s values of Excellence, Respect, Open Communication, Valuing Diversity and Community Wellbeing.
Our preferred candidate will have sound clinical knowledge within immunisation practice and have experience in delivering high-quality, accessible services to clients of diverse socio-economic, culturally and linguistically backgrounds with the ability to make decisions and remain calm under pressure while keeping clients progressing through the immunisation session.

  • Excellent communication skills to enable positive interactions with the community, children, parents, external stakeholders, work collegues and others.
  • Work as a responsive flexible team member who recognises and adapts to the needs of a dynamic work environment.
The position requires regular commuting to various locations, therefore a current Victorian drivers licence is required.
