Are you a dedicated and experienced registered nurse ready to make a significant impact on patient care and healthcare management? We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join us as the Nurse Unit Manager for Cancer Services Outpatients at Wyong Hospital, renowned as the Wyong Cancer Centre. Joining now promises excitement, as the existing Wyong Cancer Day Unit is set to undergo redevelopment starting February 2024. The goal is to have the newly expanded Wyong Cancer Centre ready by November 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient services, unit management, and nursing staff management in alignment with the strategic goals of Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD).
- Assume overall responsibility for the health care environment and maintain high standards of patient care.
- Act as the clinical leader and manager, ensuring accountability for culture, quality, safety, patient flow, financial management, change management, and overall patient experience.
- Play a pivotal role in coordinating patient care, unit management, and providing leadership to the nursing profession.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care while optimizing the use of resources.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with relevant qualifications and current practicing registration.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a healthcare setting, preferably in Cancer Services.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage change, promote a positive culture, and uphold high standards of patient care.
