Oak Valley is a beautiful and very remote Anangu community in the Maralinga Tjarutja Lands, set on the edge of the Great Victorian Desert. We have a small and transient student cohort who speak Southern Pitjantjara as their first language, and English as a second or third language. Our students and families are proud of our school and the place it holds in our community.
We are seeking an adventurous Primary teacher to join our team. You’ll be teaching Reception to Year 4, but this could change depending on the needs of the school. This role requires a willingness to develop authentic relationships with students, staff, families and community. It will involve working alongside Anangu Educators to deliver curriculum and high expectations of students. Understanding EALD strategies, trauma-informed practices and collaborative practices are highly desirable.

Special Requirements:
Successful applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter the Maralinga Tjarutja Lands, as per the local Aboriginal Community Council (APY - Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Executive Board)
