We are seeking a qualified RN, EN or Paramedic to work within our clients Workplace health and safety team in the role of Occupational Health Specialist. Here you'll play a key role in fostering a safe, healthy, and efficient work environment. You'll provide first aid, manage injuries, and advise employees on health matters, collaborating closely with WHS managers and specialists.
This position requires excellent communication skills, practical ergonomics experience, and the ability to handle multiple tasks. Some of the many responsibilities will include;
- Providing triage, first aid to onsite injuries and/or referral to outside medical providers, if required
- Minimise risk through awareness, education and proactive engagement
- Early intervention for acute illness/ conditions and musculoskeletal injuries to including self-care instructions
- Facilitate and support the workers’ compensation and return to work process for associates with work related injuries
- Spend frequent time on the warehouse floor to interact and engage with workers to coach on observed at-risk work habits
About you!
- Qualified as a Registered nurse, Enrolled nurse or Paramedic (essential)
- Experienced in Return to Work (RTW) Co-ordination, Workers Compensation (essential)
- Experience in ergonomics
- Experience managing musculoskeletal disorders
- Great communicator who is comfortable striking up conversations
- Exposure to industry wellness programs (desirable)
- Passion for Health and Wellness
This role is a Full Time 6-month contract with a view to go permanent! Located 4 days in Ravenhall and 1 day in Dandenong.
