Position Overview

As an experienced Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in enriching the lives of individuals with disabilities. Your responsibilities will encompass conducting thorough assessments, crafting customized treatment plans, and fostering collaborative relationships with clients and their families to ensure comprehensive care and continuous progress.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients' needs accurately.
  • Develop individualized intervention plans, aligned with clients' NDIS goals, encompassing both short and long-term objectives.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions and therapy sessions, continuously monitoring and adjusting approaches to optimize outcomes.
  • Provide support to both pediatric and adult clients, addressing their specific needs with sensitivity and expertise.
  • Collaborate closely within a transdisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of integrated and high-quality services to clients.
  • Maintain meticulous records and generate comprehensive reports to track progress and inform treatment adjustments.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, contributing insights and expertise to multidisciplinary case discussions.
  • Stay abreast of emerging therapeutic techniques and research findings to enhance professional knowledge and practice.

These responsibilities encapsulate the essential duties of an Occupational Therapist and underscore the commitment to delivering effective and client-centered care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
  • Demonstrated experience in working with individuals across the lifespan, including children and adults, who have disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively interact with clients, their families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Dedication to continuous professional development, staying updated with advancements in the field of Occupational Therapy.
