About the role
Mater Private Hospital’s Rehabilitation Unit is searching for a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist to join the team.
This will be a permanent part-time position, working 0.6FTE. Flexibility to work weekday and weekend shifts is a requirement given this is a seven-day rehabilitation service.
Mater Private Hospital Rehabilitation Unit boasts high quality therapy facilities and accommodation for 48 inpatients, plus a multidisciplinary Rehab Day Therapy Program.
Salary range: $37.58 - $50.32 (HP3) per hour plus superannuation and salary packaging
What you’ll be doing
As an experienced Occupational Therapist, your expertise will be invaluable to the multidisciplinary team in the Rehabilitation Unit.
You will work with Nursing staff, Visiting Medical Officers, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Worker, Speech Pathologists, Rehabilitation Assistants, Dieticians and Pharmacists to ensure best patient outcomes are achieved.
As an Occupational Therapist you will be experienced in providing exceptional service to adult patients and contributing to a multidisciplinary team, managing caseloads, measuring outcomes and dedication to continuous improvement. You will be expected to have a strong understanding of the requirements for contributing to a safe workplace in a rehabilitation environment.
About you
The successful applicant will possess:
- Previous experience as an Occupational Therapist in a Rehabilitation setting
- Knowledge, expertise and skill in assessment and management of patients with orthopaedic and neurological conditions
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional occupational therapy clinical services of a complex nature, managing caseload priorities and discharge planning
- Experience in Oedema management highly desirable.
- Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist (no restrictions)
- Current drivers Licence essential
- Membership of the OT Australia (desirable)
