Duties and Responsibilities:
We are looking for OT’s who’s are flexible to work across community home care and NDIS space.
Some regular duties include:
- Administering OT assessments across our dynamic caseloads.
- Working in the school, community, and home environments.
- Provision of therapy which are tailored to NDIS participants to promote best outcomes.
- Doing Functional Capacity Assessments / Supported Independent Living and Specialist Disability Accommodation assessments.
- Assistive Technology Assessments for specialised equipment prescription
- Completing progress notes/documentation
- Manual Handling training and education
- Pressure care education and therapy
- Sensory assessments and sensory integration focussed interventions.
- Opportunity to work in Paediatrics space.
- Therapy and rehabilitation including capacity building interventions for daily living skills.
- Falls Prevention
- Home modifications (minor and complex home modifications)
Skills and Qualifications:
- Occupational Therapy Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent as approved by AHPRA – Full Registration
- Drivers’ license and reliable vehicle
- Professional indemnity insurance, or willingness to obtain.
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or willingness to obtain.
- 2023 Flu Vaccine Certificate, or willingness to obtain.
- COVID vaccine certificate, or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to work independently in a remote team environment.
- Experience and skills in prescription of equipment and home modifications preferred.
