SalaryCongress is a comprehensive Aboriginal community-controlled health service, providing primary health care services to Aboriginal Australian persons in Alice Springs and various remote communities in Central Australia.This position sits within the NDIS Allied Health Services Team, in the Health Services Division. The Occupational Therapist works with the NDIS Allied Health Services Manager to develop and promote the service in partnership with community.What's in it for you?Base Salary: $100,210 - $112,222 (p.a.)

$10k on commencement, $10k retention payment at 12 months service and an additional $10k for a further 12 months of service (A total of $30,000 for 24 months of service). Conditions apply.What's the role?Provide culturally-responsive high-quality occupational therapy services for people living with disability within the Central Australian community
Support NDIS participants to optimise independence and function within their personal, family and community roles
Foster self-determination of clients and community by facilitating choice and control over service delivery
Partner with service users, families and stakeholders to enable progress towards participants NDIS goals
Carry an adult community-based caseload servicing a range of clinical presentations including neurological, orthopaedic, cognitive impairment and vision loss.

~2 years of clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist
Experience working in a multidisciplinary team and working with a broad range of clients from varying socioeconomic backgrounds with a wide range of functional impairments
Flexible and creative approve to providing occupational therapy services that is responsive to the needs of the community
Ability to partner with service users, including utilising them in goal setting, care planning and care co-ordination to identify priorities
Willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel to and work from remote locations.
