Senior Occupational Therapist - Join our Community of Care
· Hobart Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Level 3 Occupational Therapist to join our Allied Health team on a permanent part-time basis.
· Weekday work only
· Flexible hours/days of the week to suit applicant and needs of the acute hospital. Competitive remuneration.

We are a fully accredited facility with 146 beds co-located with the Royal Hobart Hospital in the heart of the city. Hobart Private Hospital provides a range of services including Emergency medicine, Angiography and Cardiac Services, Maternity, Medical, Surgical, and Endoscopy.

Your responsibilities:
- Providing comprehensive Occupational Therapy services to inpatients across various acute clinical areas, including critical care unit, medical, surgical/orthopaedics, and maternity.
- Discharge planning including home visits, provision of aids/modifications, and referral to other services in the community.
- Work in collaboration with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and health outcomes.
- Provide a high standard of patient-centered care.
- Participate in the ongoing development and evaluation of relevant policies and procedures & Quality Improvement Programs.
- Participate in relevant Hospital wide committees.
Criteria:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
- Current AHPRA registration
- Experience across a range of acute clinical services including acute care/CCU, medical/geriatrics, surgical and orthopaedics (on-the-job training can be provided if lacking experience in some of these areas)
- Demonstrated clinical skills and commitment to education and evidence-based practice
- Excellent time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to customer-focused service delivery
