In this rewarding role of assisting clients meet their goals, you will plan, implement and evaluate a comprehensive and integrated range of occupational therapy services appropriate to the needs of the local community in Clare. You will provide rural generalist Occupational therapy services to Yorke & Northern Cluster. You will utilise Primary Health Care principles to ensure the range of Occupational Therapy services provided meets changing community needs. Coordinating the updating and development of evidence based resources, you will participate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of Occupational Therapy programs across a range of acute, outpatient and community settings. As part of your role you will undertake clinical prioritisation and triaging of referrals and managing this in line with other organisational priorities, support less experienced clinicians and allied health assistants and undertake clinical assessments and implementing recommendations to keep clients in their homes, assist in hospital discharge or meet client goals.

You will hold a recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy, and be eligible for practicing membership of Occupational Therapy Australia. You will be skilled in supporting clients, carers and families across the Patient Journey, providing effective assessment and triage, timely referrals, accurate information, coordinated care and prompt follow-up. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will equip you to interact effectively with people from a diverse range of backgrounds, as well as working well within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Please note that this position is multi-classed as either a AHP1 or AHP2 and classification will be determined by qualifications, knowledge and experience.
This position is based in Port Pirie but may need to work across Yorke and Northern region.
