Position Summary:
We are looking for a full time or two part time therapists to work predominantly clinic base, but some school visits may be required. Flexible hours available for the right candidate/candidates.
As an Occupational Therapist at Evolving Pathways, you will play a crucial role in helping our participants/clients achieve their individual personalised care goals. You will work with our diverse participant/client population, assessing their physical and cognitive abilities and developing customised treatment plans to meet their unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of our participants/clients functional abilities.
Develop individualised treatment plans based on assessment findings.
Provide hands-on therapy to improve participants/clients motor skills, mobility, and daily living activities.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, speech therapists and physicians, to optimize participants/clients care.
Educate participants/clients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies.
Monitor and document participants/clients progress in compliance with regulatory standards.
Stay current with the latest research and advancements within occupational therapy.
Qualifications:
An appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Australia is required for eligibility for this role.
Up to date CPR certification and First Aid.
Police Clearance
Working with Childrens Check
Manual Handling
NDIS Orientation and induction modules
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Compassion and empathy for individual participants/clients.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
