Qualifications & experience
- Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy
- Driver's licence
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities and knowledge of NDIS processes is preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a mobile healthcare team
Tasks & responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for NDIS participants
- Develop personalised, participant-centered treatment plans in consultation with NDIS participants and their support teams
- Provide Occupational Therapy services to NDIS participants in various community settings, including their homes and schools
- Collaborate closely with other allied health professionals, caregivers, and NDIS support coordinators to ensure holistic care
- Continuously monitor and adjust treatment plans to meet the evolving needs and goals of NDIS participants
- Educate and empower NDIS participants and their families/caregivers on communication strategies and exercises
- Maintain accurate and thorough records and documentation for NDIS reporting requirements
- Stay updated with best practices and evidence-based approaches in Occupational Therapy
