We have an opportunity available in our Roma Workshop for a goal orientated Oilfield Inspector with a high attention to detail, good attitude and the willingness to get in and get the job done. A high regard for safety is essential.  Opportunities for career progression for the right person.

Experience / Qualifications:

• Experienced Oilfield Inspector BHA, fishing tools, drill pipe, directional drilling tools and handling gear
• AINDT or equivalent MT and PT Level 2 certification
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role 
• Attention to detail, high standard of inspection required
• Always follow and adhere to safety procedures and requirements 
• Manual driver’s license C class
• High Risk QLD Forklift ticket preferred
• Good mechanical aptitude is a must
• Shows initiative in the workplace and an affirmative approach to all work tasks
• Ability to safely use and operate hand and power tools
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening

Primary Duties:

• Conduct NDT testing on BHA and Drill Pipe to applicable standards DS-1, API RP7G-2, Manufacturers standards
• Prepare and compile inspection reports and raw data information in a timely manner
• When required, go to rig sites to conduct inspections.
• Disassembly, washing and preparation of drilling tools for inspection
• Assist in the servicing and cleaning of drilling tools
• Ensure tools are kept presentable and ready for rental.
• Loading and unloading trucks, preparing paperwork as required.
• Perform service checks on company equipment
• General yard and workshop duties including cleaning/housekeeping to maintain high levels of health and safety.
• Carryout general administrative duties, including reporting, logistics, paperwork, and other computer work as required.
