Off-Grid
Solar Engineer to join our growing team at RFI. As a global leader in wireless technology solutions, we are expanding our focus on solar power solutions and need more resources to cater for growth. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing off-grid solar power projects for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. Design and engineer off-grid solar power systems tailored to meet client requirements and site conditions. Develop detailed solar PV and battery storage system designs for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Perform system sizing, energy yield analysis, and financial modeling. Create single-line diagrams, layout drawings, and electrical schematics using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, Open Solar). Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine the viability of off-grid solar installations. Develop detailed project proposals, including system design, equipment selection, and cost estimates. Coordinate and work with structural, geotechnical, and civil providers to design and construct turnkey solutions. Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle to ensure timely and successful project delivery. Provide technical support and guidance to installation teams during system implementation and commissioning. Conduct post-installation reviews and performance assessments to verify system functionality and client satisfaction. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to off-grid solar power systems. About you Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing off-grid solar power systems. Proficiency in solar design software. Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and it is
essential you have experience with
off-grid solar system components. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and customer-focused approach. CEC accreditation and relevant certifications (e.g., Grid Connect PV Design Accreditation) preferred. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
