Offshore Maintenance Vessel Deckhand + Coxswains (NC1)

As the world’s most extensive coral reef ecosystem, the Great Barrier Reef is a globally outstanding and significant natural wonder, Quicksilver have been bringing guests here and creating memories since 1979.  We are looking for a

DECKHAND - COXSWAIN GRADE 1

A permanent position is available for a personable and friendly Deckhand to join the team based Port Douglas. Responsibilities include Operation of small craft and semi-submersible coral viewers including the delivery of reef interpretive commentary. Providing a high level of customer service to out guests, ensuring customer and staff safety is maintained at all times, safely handling ropes, lines and fenders, assisting other crewmembers as required.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Coxswains NC1 
  • Master 5 (desirable)
  • Provide First Aid 
  • Excellent communication skills & is a Team Player
  • Competency in rope handling and docking of vessels
  • Dive Master certification would be an advantage
