AddressWe are currently seeking a dynamic OHS Co-ordinator for a unique opportunity to join the Tourism/Residential Industry. Our client is well-known for their holiday parks and lifestyle villages and are currently seeking a passionate WH&S expert to drive safety across 5 of their major sites across Victoria.
The Victorian WH&S Co-ordinator will lead and support the development of the business' Health and Safety functions and drive implementation of OHS software to support process improvement for the business. This role will be supporting sites across regional Victoria with an expectation to travel across to these sites on a weekly basis. Company vehicle provided as part of the package
Your role and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Facilitating and designing tailored WH&S training programs across all job functions.
- Provide information, instruction, and training to employees to perform their work safely and without risks
- Incident investigation, reporting and management
- Initiating continuous improvement strategies
- Undertaking WH&S legislative compliance/audit activities
- Consulting with senior leaders to implement positive safety culture throughout all business lines.
- Reviewing of Contractor documentation to ensure they meet company requirements
To be successful in the role you will need
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline- preferred but not essential
- Proven experience in the OHS area at both strategic and operational levels
- Experience implementing strategy within an OHS function (or similar)
- Proven experience in meeting timeframes and achieving task outcomes
- High level knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and Australian standards
- The ability to commit to regular weekly travel across sites located across all Victoria.
