Our foundational brand, Glenvill Homes, is recognised as an industry leader, while Glenvill Projects, our dedicated arm, specialise in large-scale, medium-density projects across Victoria, demonstrating our commitment to excellence and innovation.

The Opportunity:

We are in search of a dedicated and proficient Construction Site OHS Officer to take the lead in our Construction Site safety efforts, serving as the sole expert in this crucial area. This role focuses on implementing and overseeing safety protocols across our Construction Sites, ensuring compliance with OHS regulations and promoting a culture of safety. The successful candidate will play a key role in preventing workplace incidents and ensuring the health and safety of all project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee safety plans and policies in alignment with industry standards and legal requirements.
  • Conduct induction training for staff, subcontractors, and visitors, ensuring comprehensive safety awareness.
  • Verify certification, licenses, and competencies of all site personnel, enhancing OHS regulation compliance.
  • Utilise CodeSafe platform to review subcontractor SWMS and promote its use for maintaining OHS standards on site.
  • Lead high-risk activity approvals, incident investigations, reporting, and analysis to mitigate future risks.
  • Perform site audits and inspections as per the Glenvill Construction Management Plan to identify and rectify potential hazards.
  • Facilitate OHS training sessions to promote safety awareness and compliance among all project participants.
  • Collaborate with project management and site teams to integrate safety practices into daily operations effectively.
  • Manage comprehensive safety documentation, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance.
  • Offer expert OHS advice and support to project teams, aiding in the effective management of safety risks.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies and safety consultants, ensuring projects adhere to the highest safety standards.
  • Provide labour support when necessary, showcasing versatility and dedication to project success.

What We're Looking For:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Construction Site OHS role, preferably within the medium-density residential project sector.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of OHS regulations, codes of practice, and industry standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey safety concepts to all levels of staff.
  • Proven ability to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement effective control measures.
  • Experience conducting safety inductions, training, and audits.
  • Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive remuneration package, reflective of your experience and expertise in Construction Site safety.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement within one of Victoria’s award-winning residential builders.
  • A collaborative and supportive work environment, committed to safety, innovation, and teamwork.
