The Role
The retail and Events Coordinator is a strategic and operational role within the marketing team which operated out of their head Office North of the Melbourne CBD. The role has 2 main functions - Firstly, to drive the strategy, execute, and assess the commerciality and market gain of their retail merchandising footprint with their distribution partners. Secondly, the role brings together project management, event strategy, content development, partner engagement, and end-to-end delivery of industry events/field days, including leading the curation, setup, and delivery of these events.
The Person
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Experience and an understanding of rural retailing / merchandising in either a sales, administration or marketing based role
- Experience in event execution and an end to end delivery
- Strategic knowledge to initiate, and recognise the commercial value of selected events
- An ability to engage internal & external partners to maximise event outcomes
- Knowhow to commercially ascertain events success, value, marketing effectiveness, and financial success plus manage and develop budgets
- excellent verbal & written communication skills
- experience in PR will be greatly valued but not essential.
