Eastern Health has partnered with Wellways, Inspiro and Oonah to deliver the Yarra Ranges Local which will offer a "how can we help?" and no wrong door approach making it easier for people to access the support they need close to their home, improving capacity of individuals to engage in our community and respond to any future psychological distress.The Consultant Psychiatrist will be part of the Yarra Ranges Local multidisciplinary team consisting of; lived experience staff, mental health clinicians, AOD clinicians, medical staff and psychosocial workers. They will support clients of the Yarra Ranges Local Mental Health and Wellbeing Service through providing primary clinical consultation for participants, carers and support people, providing secondary consultation for other service providers and provide clinical supervision for RANZCP accredited psychiatry trainees. You will play a vital role in ensuring that participants, carers and their families receive valuable and supportive mental health care.About youTo be successful in this role you will possess:

• Medical Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
• Extensive experience in the mental health sector and sound knowledge of the relevant legislation pertaining to adult and Older Adult mental health
• Extensive experience in delivery of services for adult and/or Older Adult mental health services.
• Demonstrated understanding of person centred and recovery oriented approaches.
• Previous experience practicing in a mixed workforce environment that includes clinical and lived experience disciplines
• Completed Supervisors Training program in order to supervise RANZCP trainees
