In continuing to support Seniors living in Redcliffe and surrounds, Encircle has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Seniors Case Manager to join their teams in Redcliffe. To be successful in this role you will utilise strengths-based and trauma informed approaches in providing case management or information and advice support to Seniors experiencing a range of challenges including (but not limited to): loneliness and social exclusion, elder abuse, legal issues, poor physical and psychological wellbeing, housing, cost of living pressures, and technological capabilities when attempting to access vital services.

Currently Encircle delivers a range of services and programs on behalf of the Commonwealth and Queensland Government, working in close cooperation with a range of other service providers, peer and community networks, and local governments.
About this Role
The OPAP Case Manager will lead the efficient delivery of the OPAP Program and contribute to the broader Housing and Neighbourhoods Team, informed by sound knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience. Utilising a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach, the role will provide intensive case management or information & advice support to Older Persons aged 60 or older and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Seniors aged 50 or older residing in the Redcliffe region.
The role will also design and deliver a range of social inclusion activities/events, enabling community Seniors to come together, increasing their inclusion and participation within the local community. The role will be required to capture empirical evidence, enabling the program and organisation to be aware of the contemporary needs of Seniors in the Redcliffe region.
Key Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role you will be able to:
- Demonstrate experience in providing intensive case management support to Seniors and understanding of contemporary challenges faced by older people.
- Demonstrate an understanding of strengths-based, person-centred and trauma informed approaches within a Seniors context.
- Demonstrated ability to purposefully engage and work with agencies and networks within the community.
- A high degree of professionalism and well-developed interpersonal skills with a capacity to advocate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Well-developed computer skills that include the management of client records, database management, collection of statistical data and report writing.
- Demonstrate an awareness and experience in working with Seniors from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse and LGBTIQQ+ communities.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Human Services, Age Care or related field.
- 2-3 years’ case management experience, ideally within a Seniors context.
- Experience in designing and delivering community events.
