About the role:
An exciting and unique opportunity presents itself for a dedicated Pharmacist to join our wonderful team at HPS, Joondalup working at GenesisCare - Oncology centre.
We are looking for a Pharmacist with Oncology experience or wanting to get into Oncology to join us on a permanent Full Time position, where you will reap the rewards of the most rewarding sector of Pharmacy!
This position is 38 hours per week working Monday - Friday.
Alternatively, job sharing between 2 part-time pharmacists may be considered for the right candidates to fill this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct medication chart reviews on chemotherapy treatment prescribed on electronic chemotherapy management software, Mosaiq.
- Dispense and supply chemotherapy and supportive medications in line with legal and professional requirements
- Prepare Chemotherapy treatment (including participating and/or supervising aseptic preparation of chemotherapy drugs).
- Contribute to a multi-disciplinary team in providing patient centred care and expert professional knowledge
- Clinical liaison with the relevant hospital wards and clinics Provision of high standard clinical pharmacy services to medical oncology day unit, including medication reconciliation and clinical intervention as appropriate.
- Assist with business and process improvement.
About you:
- Current AHPRA Pharmacy Registration
- Membership with a Professional Indemnity Insurance provider
- Experience and up-to-date knowledge in oncology and/or hospital clinical pharmacy
- Aseptic compounding skills and advanced knowledge in PBS including S100 EFC are highly desirable
- Advanced oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of hospital staff
- A high level of attention to detail and precision in record keeping
- The ability to organise complex tasks and solve problems
- A patient-centric mindset, with strong interpersonal skills and a positive can-do attitude
- A desire to learn and thrive in a rapidly evolving industry
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative team environment
- Current Covid-19 vaccinations as per Public Health Orders
