Riverina Cancer Care Centre have an exciting opportunity available at our Wagga Wagga location for a part-time temporary Registered Oncology Nurse to join our team.
As one of Australia’s premier Oncology Service providers, we have a strong focus on patient care and survivorship. This role offers the chance to become an integral part of our dynamic and dedicated nursing team.
Collaborating closely with our multidisciplinary team, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of care and an exceptional patient experience throughout their journey with us.
In this role, you will
- Deliver evidence based comprehensive oncology nursing care.
- Practice in accordance with NSW Health Legislation and ACQSHC National Standards.
- Provide wholistic nursing care and high-level patient assessment and referral to provide best possible outcomes for our patients.
- Contribute to quality improvements and work closely with the Quality and Clinical Governance team to ensure best practice.
- Assess and plan nursing care for patients using CCA templates.
- Administer medications following CCA policies and procedures.
- Conduct nursing observations, as per protocol.
- Provide comprehensive patient education as guided by CCA policy.
- Collaborate with Oncologists and the multidisciplinary team.
- Pursue professional development and set personal growth goals.
- Foster professional relationships and contribute towards the CCA commitment towards continuous improvement.

We're seeking individuals who possess the following
- Minimum 12 months experience within Oncology.
- Current and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy for patients and their caregivers.
- Strong clinical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to plan and coordinate care effectively.
- Dedication to quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
- Capacity to work collaboratively within a team.
