Base Salary $70,720

$34 Per Hour + Super and Overtime

Elevate Construct is a specialist structural steel installation company. Installing large scale and complex commercial steel structures within South Australia.

The role of Metal Fabricator within this company requires someone to be able to work outdoors on building sites across SA (primarily Adelaide metro). It is a role frequently undertaken at heights, in boomlifts, scissor machines or ladders or working from harness. Those uncomfortable with heights would not be suited to this position. 

The following tasks are required in a typical day to day:

·       Perform repairs and/or modifications to structural steel due to workshop fabrication errors/ design changes/variations/modification to existing structures etc

·       Read and understand drawings/mark plans

·       Capable of marking out, and using measuring equipment such as rotating lasers for vertical and horizontal alignment 

·       Onsite arc welding for steel to precast connections eg sqe washers. 

·       Assemble steel structures using bolted/welded connections using a variety of hand and power tools

Qualifications/Experience Required:

·       White card

·       EWP license

·       Basic arc welding capabilities primarily 6cfw

·       Capable of bolting and assembling steel structures with prior experience.

·       Working safe at heights training

·       Must have own transport and all associated hand tools

·       Minimum 12 months working in equivalent role
