Onslow’s salt fields were built in the late 1990’s and began shipping salt in 2001. In 2006 Mitsui & Co Ltd, one of the worlds most diversified trading enterprises, acquired Onslow Salt (OSPL). Currently OSPL is producing 2.7 million tonnes a year with exports predominantly to the Asian markets.
Position Summary:
Report to the Production Team Leader and Production Superintendent, you will be required to operate triple road trains, mobile plant and fixed plant equipment.
The Duties:
- Operate all equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
- Pre start inspections on mobile, fixed plant and work environments.
- Adhere to all site and safe work practices.
- Maintain accurate record keeping.
- Work rotating night and day shifts.
- Be passionate about what you do.
About You:
- Valid Western Australian MC Drivers Licence - min 2 years experience.
- Experience operating Triple Road Trains, Graders, Loaders, Dozers & Excavators.
- Be able to pass a pre-employment medical that includes a drug and alcohol screening.
- Provide a National Police Clearance - within 6 months of issue date.
- Be able to obtain and retain a Maritime Security Identification Card.
- Exposure to mining operations.
- Capacity to work safely, identify hazards and suggest changes.
