POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking an OOSH Assistant / Responsible Person to join our well-established service at Taree, NSW. This opportunity will be offered on a permanent part-time basis, working across our before and after school programs and vacation care programs.

You must be available to work afternoon shifts at least twice a week.

 As an OOSH Assistant / Responsible Person, you are expected to be an active member of a team which provides high quality childhood education and care to children.

EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA

• Computer literacy in order to document examples of learning stories
• Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting
• Workplace Health and Safety issues and practices
• Ability to maintain high level of understanding and respectful relationships with parents, carers, children and young people to address the needs of Indigenous communities and families on the wellbeing of their children
• Experience in an OOSH service (Desirable)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Current First Aid Certificate, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training
• Working with Children Check verification number
• Child Protection qualification
• An approved Certificate III or Certificate IV in School Age Education level qualification (Desirable)
